Blurring The Edges

Blurring The Edges

June 30th, 2011

I wanted to blur the line between photo and background to create the impression that one flows into the other.

The effects have been created using layers of stamped images, texture paste and stencils.

In the second layout I printed the photo twice .Once on photo paper, the second slightly bigger on water colour paper . I then used ink and water to blend.

Bunting

Bunting

March 30th, 2011

As I mentioned in the March Newsletter, here are some examples of Bunting  I think would make a great addition to a Layout or mini album.

The first is very simple, made from cream Manilla paper which has been sprayed with Shimmerz paint and stamped over. The addition of Prima bling completes the glitzy look.

Next we have a vintage look, again layerd stamped images. This time on old sheet music.

Beach bunting, created using corrugated card and sheet music which I coloured with distress ink and then dipped in bees wax. Finished off with shells and Vintaj brass embellishment.

Lastly Vintaj Brass bunting. I cut a brass blank to shape ( using sturdy scissors), embossed with  cuttlebug, and finally embellished with more vintaj goodies. Oh the tassel is from the new Prima trinkets range.

Detail is everything. Every layout features a little something by Vintaj. Above you can see a little brass filigree flower and some clock hands, which when combined with the melt pot embellishment transform a simple orange flower.

Collage backrounds

Prima Botanicals , Ten second Studio metal and this amazing stamp set come together with my sheet music and vintage clip art( Graphics Fairy) for this spring inspired layout. Again Vintaj brass elements add detail .
