Layer 1 Surface Colour
Acid-free Opaque paint
Can be used in 2 ways
- Watered down to create a wash
- straight from the jar giving a strong vibrant colour
The matte colour stays rich and strong, yet the feel is incredibly soft and supple.
"True Colour" is quick-drying, with a wonderfully smooth & chalky finish on paper & card. Applied thickly it feels almost suede-like, and it can be finger-polished when dry to achieve a fine gleaming surface.

Layer 2 Surface Shine
Surface shine can be created by using 4 types of Stewart Gill paints
- Pearlise - can be used neat from the Jar to add pearly highlights or can be mixed with true colour to create your own pearlised shades
-
Byzantia - ultra-bright jeweltone metallic lustre paints
-
Metamica - Super shiny Metallic Lustre Opaques in both 'Classic' traditional metal shades and 'Heirloom' vintage shades
-
Alchemy - Iridescent shimmering semi-opaque glaze paints

Layer 3 Surface Texture
Stewart Gill 3D mixes will add unusual surface interest and texture to your artwork.
- Fresco Flakes -Matte flakes that resemble real bits of peeling paint, available in natural architectural shades so you can create authenticly-distressed images. All SG paints and most inkpad formulations can be used to add colour over the top. Use paint or glue to adhere to the surface
- Gilding Chips Super shiny fabulous chunks of metallic lustre!!! These will add a heavy-duty encrusted glamour-shine to all manner of craft projects.
